Tom Meyers is an Osteopath M;Sc. D.O., Body-centred Stress Expert, founder of the ‘Reaset Approach’ and author of “Futurize Yourself - Design your life on Purpose.”
Tom is a global communicator, teacher, researcher and therapist with a mission to empower people to live well and evolve on purpose in body, mind and spirit in a fast-changing, uncertain and challenging world.
As a speaker, Tom speaks about the impact of the emerging digital (r)evolution on health and well-being. Technology is changing our world with a speed, scope and complexity, unlike anything humankind has ever witnessed before. This technological evolution is in stark contrast with and outstrips the pace with which humanity can adapt. This conflict is the fundamental cause of the rising stress levels and when not handled will lead to a new form of stress existential stress, when more and more people question what their place is in the Universe. To navigate the unstoppable changes ahead, a new mega-shift in our evolution is needed, to ensure that we can embrace technology but not become it.
In his book “Futurize Yourself - Design your life on Purpose,” Tom recounts his moving personal story, how three questions saved his life and inspire's the reader to futurize themselves, through a three-step process, and find a more profound and holistic understanding of their talents, potential, and who they are. With this knowledge, Tom empowers them to design a life they can wake up to every morning with a smile on their face, feeling happy, fulfilled, resilient and ready for the future – regardless of what other people say or how much the world changes. Currently Tom is writing and blogging the follow up "Evolving on Purpose"
As an osteopath and body-centred stress expert, Tom developed the ‘Reaset Approach,’ a novel body, mind and educational approach for the health challenges of today.
The evolution towards a more computerised environment has and is further changing the way we live and work and the way life and work are being organised. These changes have given rise to increased stress levels. Stress is part of life, however, to much stress has significant health consequences (musculoskeletal pain, cardiovascular disease, insomnia, migraines, anxiety, depression, burnout,…) and diminishes the ability to enjoy life.
Tom’s approach is especially of value to the business leaders and change agents of this world. The Reaset Approach not only re-aligns the body but also reconnects, brings lightness and clarity in body, mind and spirit.
Tom has been the hosts of the International Stress Management Associations (ISMA) Online Stress Summit on International Stress Awareness Day (1st Wednesday of November). He is also the organiser and host of TEDxVilvoorde and the upcoming podcast "What the Future?!"
